Upper Delaware GLBT Center and Executive Director, Cary J. Giacalone,  serve the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in the Upper Delaware River Region, offering supportive and educational services targeting the needs of GLBTQ adults, couples, teens, families, allies and the community at large. Pike County, PA currently has the highest proportion of same sex coupled households in the State of Pennsylvania (December, 2007, Census Snapshot by The Williams Institute). The Upper Delaware GLBT Center is committed to meeting the ever changing needs of the community and remains open to new ideas, members and programs in order to grow as an organization and a much needed resource for the GLBT population.

The mission of The Upper Delaware GLBT Center is to provide a space and programs that welcome, support and empower the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) community living in and visiting the Upper Delaware region; to promote acceptance of GLBT individuals through education; and to be an advocate for social change that embraces diversity and eliminates oppression based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
The vision of The Upper Delaware GLBT Center is that all Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender individuals will lead full and rewarding lives being able to reach their highest potential without limits based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity; and will be treated with dignity and respect, and able to experience America's promise of liberty and justice for all.
All people have a right to be treated with respect, dignity and pursue a life free from oppression, violence and discrimination. UDGLBT embraces diversity and joins in the fight for justice and human rights. We recognize that through acceptance, support and empowerment individuals and the community will be strengthened.
